“Sexual Justice: What Can We Do?”


In recognition of this theme, My Sexual Health invites you to a free webinar exploring how sexual health training across Africa can serve as a powerful pathway to sexual justice.


Our panel brings together leaders shaping the future of sexology education:


Dr Anthony Smith – sharing findings from his research into sexology training across Africa.


Prof. Tammary Rotich – reflecting on the challenges and breakthroughs of launching a university training programme in Kenya.


Delene van Dyk – offering insights from My Sexual Health’s experience as a private institute providing training.


Dr Marlena du Toit – discussing the implementation of sexology training with medical students at Stellenbosch University.


Each speaker will share their perspective, followed by a collaborative discussion on how to strengthen sexual health education and improve access across the continent.

This session will be hosted by Dr Elna Rudolph

Dr Elna Rudolph is the Clinical Head of My Sexual Health. She is the Immediate Past President of the World Association for Sexual Health and is a Director of the African Institute for Sexual and Gender Health, Sexual Health Africa, and the Southern African Sexual Health Association. 


She holds a medical degree from the University of Pretoria, a Master’s in Sexual Health from the University of Sydney, a Higher Diploma in HIV Medicine and Sexual Health through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, and a Fellowship in Sexual Medicine from the European Committee of Sexual Medicine.

Guest Panellist: Dr Anthony Smith


Dr. Anthony Smith is a Family Physician based in Cape Town with over 18 years in primary care. He holds a Master’s in Family Medicine (UCT, Cum Laude), a Master’s in Medical Anthropology (UCL), and is a Fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine. He also lectures in the Department of Family Medicine at UCT and has a strong focus on Sexual Medicine.

Guest Panellist: Prof. Tammary Rotich


Prof. Tammary Rotich is Deputy Vice Chancellor at Amref International University, Nairobi. She is Interim President of the African Society for Sexual Medicine, and her research on FGM and gender-based violence has shaped global policy.

Guest Panellist: Delene van Dyk


Delene van Dyk is a professional nurse, psychosexual counsellor, and educator with a focus on sexual and mental health. She is part of the My Sexual Health training team and a sought-after public speaker.

Guest Panellist: Dr Marlena du Toit


Dr. Marlena du Toit is a gynaecologist and sexual medicine specialist. She trained at Stellenbosch University and is a Fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine, offering care to women and couples in South Africa.
